Following the model of Dresden and Rennes, Euro-Par 2008 will feature a series of satellite workshops on Tuesday, August 26th.

Proposals for workshops, covering a specific theme and lasting between half a day and a day, are encouraged and solicited until April 2nd, 2008.

We plan to publish a special workshop volume in the Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series -"Proceedings of the International Euro-Par Workshops 2008" after the conference.

The principal coordinator of each workshop will appear as editor of the workshop volume.

Important Dates

A workshop proposal should include the following information

  1. Workshop title
  2. Information of the organizers and tentative program committee
  3. Description of the workshop including objectives, content, and format of the workshop. Please indicate your preference regarding the length of
    the workshop: Half-day or full-day.
  4. Potential attendees
  5. Potential authors
  6. A short biography of each organizer

The responsibilities of the workshop organizers include

  1. Preparing the call for papers and publicizing it
  2. Maintaining the workshop web site
  3. Selecting the workshop organizing and program committees
  4. Deciding the workshop program content
  5. Selecting the papers through a rigourous peer review process
  6. Delivering the proceedings to the press in time
  7. Delivering the final workshop program to the EuroPar 2008 Conference Chairs in time.
